CHEP Blue, HAZARD Yellow is a series of collage/assemblage works using roadworks signs salvaged from a skip and pieces of iconic CHEP returnable forklift palettes which for some reason have ended up as wood-chips in a nearby park. I have always loved to colour combination of bright orange-yellow with blue. Finding substantial sources of materials in both these colours, close to my home was a real joy. I'm calling the first pieces "Rosalie Gascoigne reacted to your post" acknowledging a long love of and debt to the work of the late Canberra region artist. It also hints at a much larger series of work which will use similar titles to acknowledge the artists who have inspired me over 30+ years of making.
